About Us
Hello everyone, first of all, please let me share something about me, my vison and mission as well.
My name is Ven. Abbilipitiya Methananda Thero. I live in Kalutara, Sri Lanka. I have been teaching for over 11 years. My parents were not rich. And I used to be a slow learner. You may not believe I could not even spell the English alphabet until grade 6. But I was fascinated by the English language and I learned hard.
My family background, priesthood, learning and teaching experiences are my ultimate will power. My life background has made me the person what I am today. so, I see you. I understand your needs. I know what to do and how to do it and I have seen results too. That`s why, I strongly believe in my strategies.
As a Buddhist monk, I love my country. I know what Sri Lankans can achieve if they have English skills. English is the key to the modern world. As you open up to the modern world, your knowledge and personality will grow. It will benefit you as well as the country. I strongly believe that a well-built personality can enlighten many and make a nation better. So, please strive hard. Never give up.
“The gift of knowledge excels all other gifts.” That’s why I do not see anything as beautiful as being generous in this world. If you can help someone, it illuminates both sides. So, this has been one of my “paramis” as well. I have many things that I enjoy but all the while I have really been enjoying offering my skills for free. As many of you may know I have spent my precious time, labor and money on this. Now, I am trying to take this to the next level so that more people can get benefits from my efforts. Everything has a cost. That`s why I have decided to continue offering both free and paid courses to Sri Lankans. Let`s walk together. May the noble triple gem bless you!
